Product Description Product Description
A Tale of Two Cities (1859) is a novel by Charles Dickens, set in London and Paris before and during the French Revolution. The novel depicts the plight of the French peasantry demoralised by the French aristocracy in the years leading up to the revolution, the corresponding brutality demonstrated by the revolutionaries toward the former aristocrats in the early years of the revolution, and many unflattering social parallels with life in London during the same period. It follows the lives of several characters through these events. A Tale of Two Cities was published in weekly instalments from April 1859 to November 1859 in Dickens's new literary periodical titled All the Year Round. All but three of Dickens's previous novels had appeared only as monthly installments.

It is a bookIt is a book. New and clean. Fast delivery.5When ordering literature, it's important to remember font size.I received my copy of " Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" well, the print is so small it detracts from the enjoyment of reading. My fault entirely. The publisher managed to print the novel on 100 pages. I prefer.larger print4Possibly the worst edition of this novel ever publishedThis is edition is clearly lifted from Project Gutenberg or some other public domain source, and it was apparently laid out by someone who has never had to read a book in their lives. The type is tiny, the margins narrow, the paragraphs unindented. The novel's parts are barely marked, and the book has no table of contents or other introductory material. In short, no effort was spared in sparing every conceivable effort to make this book enjoyable or even readable at a time when It's hard enough to convince a student to read Dickens without having some brainless typographer (or text-crunching software script) make Dickens' work impossible to read even for his admirers. So whether you're getting A Tale of Two Cities out of obligation, curiosity, or sincere desire to read a classic, do not spend money on this edition. Do not spend money on this edition. DO NOT SPEND MONEY ON THIS EDITION. There are far, far better ones on the market.1Didn t indent paragraphsIt didn t have indentions...Why doesn t a book have indentions at the beginning of every paragraph? Why would you do this?1NothingI like it5Great novel, but a micro print editionThis is a great classic romantic novel, well worth revisiting, especially if you re like me and first read it in high school. But beware of this edition. The print is so small that my old eyes could not handle it for more than a few minutes. I read a Kindle version instead.2Great literature. Terrible product. The book is very cheap quality. Wrong size poor binding.1Cheap, Poor Quality EditionI was extremely disappointed to receive this book, the text of which looks like it was typed at home on a 1910 typewriter. Incredibly cheap and poor quality version of a classic.1Poor qualityPoor print quality and formatting. I have never thought that about any book I have ever read before, but this is extremely difficult to read.1Terrible book sizeTerrible book size and no indentations as everyone else said. Poor quality. Very disappointed.1
