Customer Reviews

Nice idea. Good price.I had considered buying the Buzzmaster from Warburton for like $50. This works about the same, plus it puts you in the same position for actually playing the trumpet. Helps to focus the embouchure and keep the airstream consistent. Cheap, too. (I mean inexpensive)4Great gadgetGreat fundamentals gadget that is actually brilliant to have. Pricey but good.5and it is pretty well built and feels sturdyI just use this because I'm lazy and would rather store my mouthpiece right on my trumpet, which is on my stand instead of in it's case, than in the trumpet case.It seemed a little expensive for what it is, but I haven't seen any cheaper than this one, and it is pretty well built and feels sturdy.5Works good but has issuesMy band requires to use these.I, personally, dont care for them but they do help with practicing. I REALLY wish there were more that were made of different materials other than plastic. I would gladly pay extra for one. My berp scratches my trumpet (big issue for me) and is kind of flimsy, ive seen every individual berp is different. Some work well and others not so much. Mine doesnt do well in resisting airflow but still helps when im supposed to practice a song without making noise.PLEASE make some that are more than just plastic. I promise they would sell well.4Highly RecommendSuch a great thing for a trumpet player to have. I am a freshman in college and I am majoring in Music Ed. and I have only had this accessory for a few weeks and it has worked wonders. Definitely great for your improvement. If you're looking for something to help you elevate your performing abilities I highly suggest you buy this extension. Amazon also is the best place to get it from. Good value for a name brand item as well!5GoodGood5Wonderful practice aidThis is a wonderful invention, allowing one to buzz while holding the trumpet and playing along with the fingering, though of course, mistaken fingerings do not affect the pitch of the buzzing. My son is the trumpeter. I am using the french horn version of the BERP as I have decided to learn french horn after playing trombone for many years. I find that after buzzing through an exercise using the BERP, my sound on the french horn gets bigger. I guess that the BERP requires one to use a lot of air.Adolph Herseth said that he practiced buzzing on the mouthpiece daily for about an hour of his daily practice time. So if buzzing worked for him, it is probably a good idea for my son. Also, Maynard Ferguson reportedly buzzed frequently in hotel rooms prior to evening performances.5You can finger the trumpet while buzzing!I really enjoy using the B.E.R.P. to practice buzzing - great warmup device!5Five StarsI like it it does what does here's evidence. I hope this helps you :)5flimsy but necessaryIt works. But the fastening screw doesn't really secure it very well. I feel like that thing is always about to strip out so I'm very careful not to tighten it too far.On BERP tubes in general: you can get in most of your buzzing by closing one hand in a fist around the end of your mouthpiece (to regulate air resistance) and using the other hand (forefinger and thumb) to hold the MP in place on your face. Blow into the MP before buzzing, to be sure you have some resistance. But it's also nice to have the BERP tube to transition from the two-handed buzzing to a more realistic set-up on the horn.Wish they marketed a flugelhorn tube.3
