Poor Design and QualityI own 4 different pencil cases with similar capacity. While this one is ok, it isn't my favorite. The elastic slots started to fray the first day I used it. I'm using it for my prismacolor premier pencils, so it isn't something caused by misuse. I already have 3 slots that are broken and I've only owned it a week. The design is also poor. I liked the idea of having separate zippers for each section to avoid acidentally losing pencils. When zipped, the zippers are covered by the bottom piece, which I suppose is great for aesthetic purposes, but horrible for functional ones. It's hard to get fingers in there to grip the zipper pull and unzip. Overall it is cheaply made and just poor design. There are plenty similarly priced ones by other manufacturers with the same capacity. I recommend avoiding this brand. 1Pretty, made well, large capacity, but....I love, love this case. Now, I gave it only 4 stars instead of 5 due to two specific reasons. One, the strap that is supposed to be a handle? It is really not useful, non-functional. If you use it, then the case flops around and with soft-core pencils, that s not a good thing. Two, there really isn t a good space for an eraser, pencil sharpener, or a colorless blender marker. These are cumbersome items. Sure, there are larger elastics spaces provided in the last section (or first section, depending upon which side you re starting on). But once you put anything even semi-bulky in these larger elastic slots, it is more difficult to zip the compartment. I would think over time, this could cause the zipper to not work as well or cause excess wear and tear on the case. Maybe I m just picky, but these two things bother me. I will probably purchase a small pencil case to carry a decent pencil sharpener and the other items I previously mentioned, which are very much utilized by folks who use colored pencils. To remedy the thin strap of a handle, I ll probably just make my own thicker handle and slide it in between the binder area and the zippered sections. There is plenty of room for a DIY remedy. 4Pretty B. APretty B.A. pencil case! (160 slot) Don't do reviews, but this thing is awesome. Just wanted to answer some questions I had before purchasing. This thing is a beast, but the possibilities are endless. Ive reduced 5 separate bags of utensils into one. It will hold: gel pens, crayola thin markers and micron pens, that being said, you will have to skip a space between 4 because it gets tight. Would fit about 8 copic markers in one sipper section. Color is beautiful, but should have gotten black due to my messy "artistic" ways. As for durability and longevity, Ill have to get back. Overall, zippers are thick and it is a solid piece. Im am including images to help for the "visual" people, like me. BUY IT...its worth the money! 5I LOVED THIS SO MUCH THAT I ORDERED ANOTHER ONE TODAY!!! IT ACTUALLY HOLDS MORE THAN 160 SLOTS...VERY WELL MADEI purchased this to keep the supplies I use for my adult coloring books organized. The description says this has 160 slots. Oh, not so! This is much better. So, to start, this is a book style organizer. The exterior I chose is pink, the interior is grey. Each interior page, if you will, is grey fabric/vinyl over a hard cardboard. Each section has it's own zipper which is nylon, well sewn, operates smoothly, & has a nice size pull. The slots in this organizer are all individual elasticized cloth slots. You won't need to try to fit multiple pencils or pens per slot. The first section has two 1" wide slots at the top which can hold a bullet or square sharpener or an eraser. The first elastic slot on that page that would hold an item the length of a pencil is capable of holding something the size of a marker. I placed my Prismacolor blender marker in that slot. I purchased this to hold my 150ct Prismacolor Premier pencil set. There are 14 pencil slots on the rest of the first page. Each of the next 7 pages holds 22 pencils or pens. So, while BTSKY lists this as a 160 slot colored pencil organizer, it actually has 168 standard slots, 1 larger slot, and 2 slots for square sharpeners or erasers. After I added my Prismacolor pencils to the case, I added 2 typewriter style erasers, a blender pencil, a burnishing pencil,a khol pencil, my pencil extenders that hold my colored pencils when they are too short to be held by hand, an automatic pencil, and a small pad of sandpaper that is made for use with colored pencils to the last page of this organizer. I even put in a small baggie so I can sharpen my pencils with my bullet sharpener right into the baggie without needing something larger to hold the shavings. With this organizer completely filled, I have not found the zippers to be put under any stress whatsoever. There is plenty of room for all my needs. My pencils are protected. My sister-in-law & I enjoy this hobby so we bring our paraphenalia with us when we visit. The men can watch tv and we chat while we color. I will be able to bring this out in the yard this summer to relax and color while outside w/o worrying about lugging things around awkwardly or losing things. I previously brought some of my coloring books & pencils on a trip but found it awkward to color on a plane. I can put this case behind the book I'm coloring in & it makes a perfect support for me. Of course, I am aware that it is a pencil organizer & treat it accordingly. But, I am able to lean on it enough to color quite comfortably. I did go to Prismacolor.com & printoff their color swatch. I prefer coloring it in myself so that I can shade each color from light to saturated. I then placed the pencils in the case in the same order they were in as the Prismacolor color chart except for the neon yellow, neon orange, & neon pink. I placed those with the yellows, oranges, or pinks. Otherwise, it makes it very easy to find the color I'm looking for. Also, because as your pencils get sharpened down, the color names & numbers are removed. But, by keeping them placed according to the Prismacolor chart, I know exactly what color I am using. I highly recommend the Cosmos Aluminum pencil holders for getting every bit possible out of your colored pencils, the Alvin Brass Bullet Sharpener which provides the sharpest point, and the Farber Castell Perfectioin 7058B eraser. If I remember the name of the other eraser that I've found to work wonders, I will update this review. I hope this wasn't too long. But, I just kept tripping onto some of these items by accident. If I can help another hobbyist with what I've found, I try to. Also, if you enjoy Johanna Basford's coloring books, take a peek at Hanna Karlzon's books. They are a bit expensive; but, quite worth it. I rely on the reviews of others when I am determining making a purchase online. Other than the seller's description & photos, the honesty of other buyers is all we have to go on. Therefore, I provide my 100% honest opinion of the product I a reviewing based on looks, quality, durability, and use. I have been using this for a couple of weeks so far. Should anything change, I will update this review. I would like you to know that I am so happy with this product that ordered another one in green today for my gel pen collection. I actually use quite a few mediums considering the fact that I am by no means a true artist. I love using gel pens & glitter glue pens when some of the pictures show gems in them. Anyway, I am including photos with my review. I should mention that this comes with a nice size wrist strap that has a lobster claw clasp. It allows you to carry this around your wrist leaving your hands free for other things. If you found this review helpful, I'd appreciate if if you'd click the button. 5Nice Case for colored pencils - Zippers work smoothly My case has 168 pencil slots & 3 larger slotsPerfect for my set of 132 Prismacolor Pencils & 36 Prismacolor Verithin. My case has 168 pencil slots and 3 larger slots. You can put more than one pencil in the larger slots or use them for erasers, pencil sharpener, etc.I wasn't sure if I would like all the zippers, but this case is advertised as having 160 pencil slots. I decided that I could use the extra slots so I purchased this large case. The zippers work smoothly.I arranged the colored pencils in the same order as the color chart I made for them.I check the color chart so I know which color I want to use, then follow the chart to find the pencil in the case.To make finding the correct pencil quicker & easier, I'm going to number each page & put the page number on the corresponding group of colors on the chart. When I color a picture, I record the color name, number & a swatch of the color on a scrap piece of paper. If I don't finish the picture in one sitting, I know what colors I used.Sometimes I put the pencil I use in backwards...so the point is opposite of the other pencils. That way I can quickly see what pencils I'm currently using in my project. (The points will be in the opposite direction of the other pencils)I also keep my Dritz Quilting Rainbow Color Wheel Selector in the case, pen & paper too.I chose to use the handle. It comes in handy.I wanted to use the tin the Prismacolor pencils came in, but the trays are flimsy plastic which bends & breaks easily. After having the pencils spill out of the tray a few times, I decided to purchase a case. There were several cases to choose from. I finally narrowed the choices down to this case and I'm liking it a lot.Rose Red is a pretty medium to dark pink with a bit of red mixed in. 5So glad I found these on AmazonSo glad I found these on Amazon. I did not want a cloth holder, or a roll up. They are my favorites by far and I am happy that they came out with a 4 zipper version that holds all my 150 Prismacolors plus extra spaces for blender, erasers, etc. I have never had any problems with the zippers, smooth and well made. I am now going to be ordering the new ones with fewer slots per section, but big enough to hold my Sharpies. Love the colors, and I have ones in pink, turquoise and gray, and soon to be getting the ones for my Sharpies in Lilac and black. The zipper pulls were sometimes getting stuck at the bottom when open, but I have attached all kinds of bling to them (photo attached). The ONLY negative thing I have to say, is that I wish they had riveted a handle at both ends to carry them by. The full four zippered case is too heavy to pick up by just the strap attached to the top. 5Another great case from BTSKYThis is my 4th case, the other 3 hold 120 pencils. Very good quality, and delivery was speedy. I especially like these cases because I can store them on a bookshelf. Since my colored pencil, gel pen, and marker collection can't stop growing, I'll need more colors! 5Perfect!BTSKY 160 Slots Colored Pencil Organizer - Deluxe PU Leather Pencil Case Holder (Pink)Exactly what I need! fits all my gel pens and fine pens with room for more. Very Happy! 5they both fit nicely in this case togeatherCase has plenty of room, I have a 72 set of Marco refine, and 72 set of crazy art, they both fit nicely in this case togeather. I originally bought this for my new set of prisma but decided I would keep those in their original box. The zippers work very nice on this case, I would like to purchase a couple more of these. I have many different sets of colored pencils ranging from crayola to prisma. I treat them all the same with tender loving care, thus these cases are a wonderful way to protect your pencils. Convenient to for carrying. No fussing with the cardboard box or metal tin. If you have Metal tins though and choose to go this option never throw your tins away. I hope this helps 4I'll probably buy another one. This was my one Primeday splurge and honestly I wish I had gotten another.Let's start with my cons (yes I have a few cons and still gave it 5 stars because these are just personal preferences -- I still love this case):~ The elastics are more prone to shredding on the ends, which is just the nature of elastics, but there are ways to minimize that.~ Most mechanical pencils are a really tight fit, if they fit at all (partially because the ones.I most wanted to store in here are the Pilot color Eno pencils and they have a grip attached that makes it a real struggle to use them in this. Not the end of the world, I could have fit a few in the wide elastic spots but chose to put stick erasers there. So far that is my entire list of cons. If that changes over time, I'll update the review. Now on to the pros:~ This case is the perfect size for most people. Someone with a small collection of pencils and pens could probably use a smaller case, but if you color or draw at all, this is probably a good size for you. In my case, my main pencils are a 72 tin of Inktense and then a few small tins of drawing pencils, some mechanical pencils, and a few pens. This gives me enough room that most of what I have that was excluded wouldn't fit well in this case (things like inktense blocks, some paints, a few thicker markers).~ The sizes of the elastics. I know that I said some of my pencils don't fit well, but that is more on them having the grips -- they simply do not easily push through the tight elastic slots. That said, those space are decent enough than they will fit something as thick as a Tombow brush pen (you will want the fine tip side up against the zipper side as the brush pen cap does end up causing it to stretch the zipper a bit and feels like an invitation to ruin the zipper) and a standard pencil and keep both sized items firmly in place.Neutral:~ The look. It's a pretty standard generic look. This could be good or bad depending on your personal preferences. Doesn't stand out.Verdict: If I find that I need another pencil case, I'll definitely buy another one of these. Since most of what I have left to store is larger items like paints and markers, I'll probably look at other cases for that but I will start my looking within this brand's line. 5
