Customer Reviews

Disappointed: I bought the 9" circular and if the ...Disappointed: I bought the 9" circular and if the needle length was the same on the 16" they would be perfect for socks, but they made the needles just " that " much too long too work easily for the socks. 3ChiaoGoo RocksI like the stainless steel needles because they are fast. Used to use bamboo but they slow me down. I like the red connector too as it shows ups well. I would recommend these to other knitters. I use circular needles for everything. I was always dropping a needle, usually down the couch cushion. Circular needs solved that issue.5LOVE the cables; Needles need improvementI bought these based on the glowing reviews of the coated steel cables & they are wonderful! They are fluid and easy to knit with, clearly a leap forward in cable technology. For me the problem was the needles themselves. They are uncoated steel and have an unpleasant feel in my hands. The yarn doesn't flow over them nearly as softly nor quickly as nickel-coated steel needles (such as KnitPicks, etc.).If ChiaoGoo were to upgrade their product with a coated needle I'd buy them in a heartbeat, but as it is I won't buy again.3Love this product!I have 2 ChiaoGoo circular knitting needles and love them. They are short and have a slight bend on the handle that increases comfort. I like the red cable so I can easily find them among other items. They are well made and have nice points for working with fingerling weight yarns. I use them for knitting in the round socks.5I am starting to accumulate a nice little collection of needles so far but didn't have ...I have been knitting for about a year now and consider myself an "advanced beginner". I started out making hats on circular needles. I am starting to accumulate a nice little collection of needles so far but didn't have the correct size for a new hat pattern I wanted to try. Having 7 sets of circulars from various manufacturers ranging from economy types to mid range to higher end circulars, I have come to appreciate the qualities that make a set of circulars a pleasure to use. So far, these are my favorites. The stainless steel needles are silky smooth and well balanced. Yarn slides beautifully over these needles. The points are just right, not too sharp and not too blunt, and I find that I don't split the yarn at all with these needles. The slight bend between the needle and cable eliminates that awkward transition from rigid needle to the cable. The join between the needle and cable is very smooth and secure. The cable itself is a dream to work with. It is super flexible and "low memory" so you don't have that annoying tight coil that seems to be a problem I have noticed with the plastic type cables that make starting a project less than enjoyable. If I had to list one draw back about these circulars it would be the laser etched size on the needle. I love that the size is marked on the needle but being past middle age, my vision isn't what it used to be. I find that laser etched print is so fine it is very difficult for me to read. This is by no means a deal breaker for me and it in no way detracts from my enjoyment of these tools. These circulars are packaged in a fairly sturdy zip close plastic package that is marked with the size and that's good enough for me. I will definitely purchase other sizes of these circulars and highly recommend them.5The "bacon" of knitting needdles.I'm awful at writing reviews, but I love this set of needles so much I thought I'd give it a try. I'm normally a knit pick girl. I like the feel of wood, but recently in a freak netflix and chill accident I snapped one of my 4.5mm needles. I got online and looked at reviews and saw all these people saying this was the most amazing set EVER. I was skeptical, how good can they really be? They're metal. And bent. And what the what. But let me tell you. The bend to the needle itself makes them deceptively flexible. I got all the way to the k1k2t part of the crown of a baby hat before having to change them over to double sided needles - something none of my other fancy pants sets can do. Even better than that the bend is supposed to help with hand fatigue, and my still tired but not as tired hands feel a definite difference.. That red chord.... oh my. I had decided that was just a gimmick, because really how much better can a "no memory" chord be? Way better. Like Bacon on your burger better. Didn't know I needed that in my life but now can't live without it better. I've had my first set for three days, and I've already completed two projects, AND THEN I ordered myself my second most used size. It was like finding out how great a kitchen aid mixer is after stirring by hand for two years. My stitches are faster, more uniform, and they glide off that needle onto the next. Order them, you won't be sorry.5RecommendPart of the ChiaoGoo system. I like these a lot - they are versatile and the combinations of 4 and 5 inch needles with the various cable lengths are almost endless. In my experience the small and medium needles/cables don't come undone while knitting, although the micro ones are a bit more unstable. Highly recommend.5Best needles on the marketI love Chiaogoos. They are by far my favorite needles, and Amazon is always there for me when i need a new, random fixed needle size.5My FavoriteThe best circular needles I have found. Slowly I am replacing all of my older needles (including Addi and Knit Picks) with the Chiaogoo needles. The flexible cord is the least stiff of any other.5I thrilled with theseI was using bamboo circular knitting needles but these are far better and smoother. I will buy different sizes as I need them.5
