One Starthis is not a program but an ad on. as such it doesn't work for me.1A Must-Buy for any gamer in your lifeLet me first start by saying I was once quite against first-person-shooters. Games that encouraged you to run mindlessly around, shooting other people, didn't seem to have much value. That was until I played CounterStrike, though.I've always been a HUGE fan of strategy. Games that encouraged you to think, to plan ahead and to execute the plan as a team, really thrilled me. When I saw my first games of Counterstrike, it was like watching Band of Brothers on HBO. One unit worked together to the left, while another coordinated on the right. Each followed the plan closely to capture the flag. Yes, you knocked out the enemy. But it was in the persuit of a goal, to achieve an objective.It was AMAZINGLY fun!Some people might object that it's bloody, that it promotes people killing people. If you're going to worry about games that have winners and losers, then any game of tag, or dodge-ball or 'cowboys and indians' is going to fall victim. Here, people who are shot respawn so they can regroup with their team. The victory goes to the smartest team with the best plan - the team that works well together and defends each other. I don't know of a better objective for a game.Best of all, being a net game, this can easily be played as a family. Your uncle in Texas, your aunt in Mississippi, and your cousin in California can join into the game, all playing vital roles regardless of their location, age, sex, color, or anything else.I highly recommend this as a game for anyone over 12, and I'd encourage you to get a few copies to give to other friends and family members. "Ok," I said. I will go to the internets and buy it. I think it was a free mod at some point and people made fun of me for paying money, I still don't really understand but ok whatever.The thing is, this package never showed up. Amazon said it was delivered, but it wasn't on my doorstep. "Oh, I'm so mad at Amazon," you're probably saying. But wait, there's more to this story!I was like the unofficial building manager for my apartment, in that I collected everybody's rent and put it in one envelope for the landlady, and she knocked some $$$ of my rent for doing so. So I didn't get the rent for one apartment--a nice single mother who lived next to me. I knocked on her door cause I figured she just was a little late.Instead of her, this gross looking dude opened the door. I was a little nervous, so I just stammered something like "oh hi, uh hey so the rent is due..." and he said "I already slipped it under you door," even though nobody ever did that. I didn't know what to do so I just asked if was sure, cause I didn't get it. He said "yeah, and I paid in cash," again, something nobody ever did.I didn't know what to do, so I went to the police station and reported the theft. I told them also that my package never showed up and I was afraid it was also stolen. I grew up in a small town, and it was really boring most of the time. The police seemed a little too eager to go investigate, and were like suiting up and being all bad ass. "We'll take care of this," they said. I shrugged and went home.About half an hour later I hear yelling, stomping up the stairs, slamming doors, and more yelling during a struggle. Apparently when the cops rolled up, the creepy dude was chilling outside the building. He got scared, and decided to run. The cops chased him back into the apartment, where he tried to lock them out. They busted in and found a whole slew of stolen purses and merchandise. They arrested him and I never saw him again.The cops said that my package was evidence, and so they kept it for about a year. I finally got it back and installed it, but it wasn't very fun. I think I played about 2 rounds or something. Anyway, some guy went to jail because of this purchase, so if you have annoying neighbors, it's worth a try?4Best multiplayer game in my opinionThis is the original cardboard box. Couldn't hide the excitement when I got it. Best multiplayer game ever made in my opinion. Still lots of fun even versus bots. Best game for home LAN parties.5
