Michael Bay saw this game and said, "Whoa. That's a lot of explosions."If you were a fan of JC2, or like blowing stuff up with almost limitless freedom, get this game. They did nothing but improve the formula that was so successful in the last game, removing money barriers and increasing your incentives to do every side-mission, find every collectible, try and re-try every vehicle challenge. My favorite changes are unlimited C4 and the wingsuit - instead of fast-travelling everywhere, I'd rather fly. Even when I crash headlong into the pavement (which is hilarious) it's a blast. The addition of online elements (challenge your best or friend's best times/accomplishments) makes this game almost infinitely re-playable...and that's before you start, "Just messing around." I dare you to watch one video of another gamer blowing up a train, and the ensuing chaos, and not want to immediately do the same.5/5 Wingsuits, looking forward to Just Cause 4: In space!5AddictiveJC3 is head and shoulders above JC2, and that is saying alot, since I loved latter. If you have played the second entry in the series, here are the things that it improves apon:+ Graphics are great, and the location is sublime (with the rare case of FPS drag)+ Gameplay (boom, boom, boom!, need i say more?!) There are so many ways to elimate your enemy or finish a task. I actually liberated a military base without firing one shot!!+ Sound effects, voice acting+ Replayability (is that a word, sorry) This game makes you come back again and again even after you finished the campaign.- No aiming of weapons.. (seriously i can't think of another negative thing)I bought this brand new and so worth it.5Dense, large island - vast improvements from Just Cause 2It could get repetitive after awhile liberating towns and outposts but I can find creative ways to keep it interesting. Driving vehicles are much improved from Just Cause 2 especially the handling. Flying planes and other aircraft can be tricky.Main missions are fun and challenging. Wingsuit , parachuting, and grappling are fast ways of traveling which sets it apart from other games like GTA 5 or Mafia 3.The scenery is beautiful and the put a lot of detail into explosions.54 stars! Technical issues make it imperfect yet still funI reallly liked just cause 2 and the 3rd installment builds where the other one left off. Loads of fun, great graphics and a storyline that isn't total garbage makes this game fun. Although who really plays these games for the story? The only reason I took a star off is it tends to crash the Xbone. Also when you get into a situation with a 4 or 5 star wanted level and multiple enemies and vehicles show up, the game drops to an unplayable framerate. Shame on Square Enix for letting that happen. Still, it's a great game, if they had only fixed those two things, I would have no hesitation in giving it 5 stars.4A tongue-in-cheek first-person shooter, with an emphasis on blowing things upOther reviewers are right: the dialogue and characters are very over the top, and the dialogue is full of tropes. To that I say: "So what?". James Bond movies are full of tropes and cliches, and people still pay good money to see them. This is a great first-person shooter with an emphasis on blowing things up. (Seriously, you need to destroy a minimum number of fuel tanks, generators, etc and generally wreak havoc in order to liberate settlements.)The game has all the hallmarks of your typical action movie: invincible hero, Machiavellian super-villain, loudmouth Texan CIA agent, wise-guy sidekick, socially inept yet brilliant scientist, deep-voiced North African mercenary, and unnecessarily-flirty blonde smuggler. However, it works because the game is fully aware of all the cliches, and embraces them. At one point, a character remarks to the hero that he should be more grateful for having a seemingly-impossible infinite parachute. The main character quips "Shocking!" when he destroys electrical equipment, "There appears to be a service outage" when he destroys communication equipment, and "I should probably get down now" when the aircraft he's in is about to explode. The game is full of pop-culture references, quoting everything from Futurama to Douglas Adams.Overall, the graphics are pretty good, although it's occasionally frustrating that the distant views appear to be pre-rendered. If you a destroy a military installation, and then look at it from a long way away, it will appear to be back in its original condition, and will only become destroyed when you get closer. The AI is pretty good -- NPCs can drive the vehicle you're in and follow it to a waypoint. There are definitely some glitches: if you liberate a military base from a helicopter after having destroyed a SAM, the SAM will respawn briefly before it becomes a friendly SAM, and will target you. Which kind of sucks. Also, the voice dialogue from the Australian mercenaries gets a bit tiresome -- I don't need to hear "Target is using a grappling device" 500 times a day. But overall, a lot of fun, and a great stress reliever. If I'd paid $60 for it, I might have had higher standards, but now that it's been out for a while, it's cheap enough that it's a no-brainer.5Lots and lots of fun! Many games I lose interest in pretty quick. I splurged on this game and have not been let down. The level of mayhem, fun, explosions, etc. has been a ton of awesomeness. I have played this for hour and hours most nights for the past few weeks. The two complaints I have I have seen in other reviews. The load times are huge, but I cannot complain too much as what has to be done with the amazing landscape and flying around is worth it. The one that is very frustrating are the crashes. Sometimes at VERY inopportune times. Fortunately what I just blew up was saved so I did not lose too much, but I have to battle my way all the way back into the base, etc. That said, the amount of fun FAR AND AWAY outweighs the problems. So I took one star off for both of them, but do not let this disuade your purchase.4Best game in the worldFinally a a free roam game younger kids can play without parents worrying about drugs alcohol sex content so many cool things to do it's like living real life yes there is lots of violence blowing up things guns stealing cars helicopters boats but it is a blast. Son and husband are addicted to it so watch out they may play until the wee hours of night.. the grappling hook feature the best.5Human flight simulation. Will be playing for a long time to come. Stress reliever and once you master the flight, you will enjoy doing that only besides blowing up whatever. This is where I take out my road rage frustrations. These vehicle noc's drive just like real life which means they are not that good. I am happy to report that no npc thinks they are remotely smart enough to multitask by texting and also driving, though! They just have a hard enough time driving without introducing another task.5Fun and can give you hours of entertainment. It's a great came, with lots of action and open world to explore and complete side/extra missions.Lot's of guns and vehicles to collect (cars, motorcycles, quadricycles, helicopters, airplanes, boats and military vehicles).I'm just giving 4 stars because sometimes it get's boring when you have to free cities from the militia (you have to do it over and over again and it's about the same task of exploding and destroying stuff).Still fun and can give you hours of entertainment.4Is it wrong that "Believe it or not" plays in my head when using the wingsuit? The game map here is large enough to be fun, without feeling excessive. The play mechanics work well and, come on, the wingsuit is a blast. There's a really good balance of difficulty versus fun. However, the overall game does suffer some of the same problems as the Far Cry series, in that the missions eventually start to feel pretty repetitive, and there's only so many times you can liberate a town before it starts to feel tedious. So while my interest level in actually completing the game has kind of dropped to zero, I do still like to pop it in once in awhile to fly around and cause chaos.Note: I gave it 3 stars, but this is one of those instances where I wish Amazon allowed half-stars, because I'd probably rate it more 3 1/2.3
