Customer Reviews

it was pretty good. I liked this mouseInitially, it was pretty good. I liked this mouse, as it was nice and clicky, performed well, and the software was surprisingly functional. Ot basically had all the aspects of a quality budget gaming mouse. That was until the glue on the pads started melting and leaking through them. The pads on the sides.. It's not even hot in my house, but every time I use it, my thumb and pinky would get all sticky. This is after 2 months of use!I contacted them to try and get a replacement, but their warranty process is such a pain. For such a cheap product, you'd think they go "email us a pic and we'll send you a replacement" like so many other companies, but they have a long, annoying form to fill out just to get someone to look at your problem!2As someone who had the original MX-2000As someone who had the Perixx MX-2000, I feel Perixx went backward with this mouse and generally disappointedDon't get me wrong, it's a great <$30 mouse which I use for programming because I can map all the keys to what I want using their very nice software it comes with (which they really improved). But I expected a WAY nicer mouse and I hold high standards from their last mouse... so here is everything they did wrong with this mouse from the original Perixx MX-2000- They got rid of side wheel clicking, you can right wheel click but its just an alternate wheel click. Like gone are the days I can use the left and right wheel click to ALT+Tab or Ctrl+tab or recently I had it mapped to my volume- They moved the 3rd button on the left side to the front. I REALLY enjoyed having the button on the bottom of the left side so I could just press down, now I need to extend my thumb out which is not has natural- There is not a single button on the right side, my ring finger will be unused once again... total shame- The last mouse came with a nice little case to hold the weights. I will bet 95% of people who buy this mouse will take some weights out and lose them.- I can't utilize the profile switching without wasting one of the few buttons----Ok so its still a sick mouse and it feels more professional and also has a lot of major improvements... but if you are looking for a cheap mouse to have custom buttons for things like programming, 3D modeling, Photoshop, etc... this mouse is like 2 buttons shorts of being in that sweet spot of having enough to work with4Used For Over Three Years, Still GreatAfter having this mouse over three years, I've only had one issue with it. After switching a frequently used binding in a game to middle click, it made the middle click work intermittently. That was maybe a year ago, and now the middle click works perfectly fine and has never acted up again. The rubberized finish has just started to wear out on the left click, but that is more from incessant cleaning rather than just wear alone. Honestly, this is the best value mouse out there. It has RGB LEDs, braided cable, weight adjustment, adjustable DPI, great switches, and feels comfortable and premium. With the second set of bottom pads included, I expect to get years more of use out of this mouse. The only minor thing I don't like about it is that the DPI indicator lights can only be green, and not adjusted like the rest of the LEDs on the mouse.5Decent, but needs some improvements to be a great mouse.Perixx MX-3100 MMO Gaming Mouse - 12000 DPIOverall good mouse at a good price point. Very easy to set up and very comfortable.Pros:-It is much more comfortable than my MX-2000 due to its higher arch and ring finger rest.-The side buttons are positioned perfectly for your thumb to reach all of them.-Driver/software is functional and easy to understand.Cons:-It is a bit too light, which leads to slightly poorer control and a cheap feel. I would have preferred the ability to add weights like the MX-2000.-Although the side buttons are positioned perfectly, they are slightly difficult to depress. Not in an overbearing way, but still annoying.-You cannot change the color of the side buttons! They are always red-orange in color. You can only change the color of the scroll wheel and logo, which easily leads to a color scheme that clashes badly.3Excellent mouse! Better than more expensive brand name units. This is an excellent mouse! I've gone three month selecting the right mouse and finally decided to try Perixx (same as Anker, Sharkoon and others). What i was looking for in a mouse:- reliability based on user reports- quiet click- large size- ergonomic shape- good weight (or weight system)- 9+ buttons- DPI switching- good tracking- pleasant surface textureI've had a wireless Logitech M705 and then bought RAT5, tried Logitech G700 and many more. Some mice were as expensive as $100, but all lacked in some regard. Logitechs have poor reliability and the texture of G700 was too rough for me. Although the button placement, size, weight and quality of clicks was just right. At $70 it was also rather expensive. RAT5 looked like a decent mouse, but i would get a cramp in my hand due to lack of palm support. Also the side ( thumb) buttons required a lot of force and were very loud. It also didn't have a tilt wheel.Perixx MX-2000B seemed like a perfect mouse, but it being unknown brand - i was very worried about the quality of the mouse. How well did it work? Well, let me tell you:- Clicks are soft- shape and size are almost perfect (would prefer slightly larger for my hands).- weight is good when all weights are added- button placement is great - just where my fingers land natually- tracking is excellent, as good as any other much more expensive mouse- texture is "rubber like" to the touch (similar to Motorola Razr if you remember those).- quiet when sliding on wooden desk- good gliders/feetThere are a few improvements i would like to see:- DPI button moved to more natural location for easier access (But i use it only on occasion, so it's not that big of a deal. And when i need it - it is still fairly convenient).- DPI adjustment steps are hardcoded.- DPI slider in driver/software is only used to set the default DPI level that the mouse sets itself when computer starts. That's all it does. It does not limit number of steps or adjusts them.- I would like it to be a bit larger and heavier (but works well as is).To sum it up, this inexpensive mouse is much better (for me) than more expensive RAT5 (which i returned to a local store where i bought it) and G700. Plus it costs less and works just as you would expect a great mouse to work.5This is the BEST GAMING MOUSE for the money - hands down.I'm not a gamer - I work on my computer for 8-10 hours a day - so a wireless mouse wouldn't be practical. I was looking for Quality, Comfort, and durability. This is the best mouse that I have ever used. I bought one a few years ago - I have bought 3-4 different mice since, the other gaming mice do not even compare! Night and day difference. This one is much more comfortable, weighted better, and the click buttons are better. Button layout is much better, not that I really use the buttons. My last mouse was a Zelotes mouse - about the same price range - I've also tried the Technet gaming mouse - this one is SO much better than either of those - they were shaped weird, hard plastic on the sides, and button placement was awkward - buttons would accidentally get pressed.Pros:- A little taller than many other mice - makes the mouse more ergonomic and comfortable- Top and sides are coated in smooth rubbery like plastic, instead of hard plastic, makes the mouse much more comfortable - no sharp edges- Click buttons feel solid and have good spacing-Light can change to different colors-Good weighting - heavy weights to make the mouse feel smooth, weights can also be taken outCons:- Color system can be a little finicky, sometimes it seems to change colors by itself.- The black rubbery surface shows finger oils and eventually wears down (1-2 years for a 8-10 hour a day user)This is the BEST GAMING MOUSE for the money - hands down.5Great mouse, love it, Perixx is really underrated, combines the best of the g400 and deathadder into oneGreat mouse for a great price, I had a string of mice crap out on me, the famous g400's scroll wheel, then a backup deathadder 2013 with not many hours on it started doubleclicking, so I hopped on amazon and noticed this was only like 24.99, it's kinda old in pc terms, a little "old school" from 2012, but it sorta combines the best of the g400 and deathadder to me honestly. I took all the weights out personally and now it feels really good...it has the sorta concave side shape I loved from the g400 with the good scroll wheel from the deathadder.....win-win, seems to be a genuinely well made which shocked me as I've handled some truly crap cheap mice over the years testing various ones out. Perixx I believe is really underrated honestly but they're well worth the money and even more, I'll definitely look to them again whenever I or a friend/family member ever needs another mouse. The software is nice and they even included extra mouse feet in the package, I'm just still kinda speechless at the quality of the mouse/packaging/contents as a whole considering the price. Time will tell on the lifespan but I use it every day and have gamed with it fine for nearly 6 months now. This, combined with an old sandy bridge i7 2600k, old z68 mobo, 16gb of mixed 1333mhz 9-9-9-24 timings "slow" ddr3, windows on an old ssd many elitists ragged on (samsung 840 non pro, the inferior flash version, although still lasted 300tb worth of writes before any errors in a torture test online), games on some big 7200rpm hdds, and an 8gb rx 480 gpu make for an "old" but still competent gaming rig, believe me5I love this mouselet me start out by saying this mouse is finally dying on me. Yes finally, after 4 years of using the absolute hell out of it its giving up the ghost. Granted the only thing that is not working well is the right click. It works but if you hold it down it is intermittent. I have big hands and this mouse is comfortable, and you can add weights in many configurations to get a feel you like. I even bought their keyboard and guess what? Im getting ready to buy another one. Mine still works but i think its seen better days. would recommend for under $40 mice.5A great bargainI just picked up this mouse for $35 from amazon. I actually already own several high-end gaming mice, but the feature list of this mouse, along with the price tag, made me decide it was worth it, just out of pure curiosity.I now consider this mouse to be the best for money, by a mile. I can't say I love it as much as some $75+ mice, but there is nothing in this thing's league in this price range. The mouse switches are all very precise and responsive, the tracking is excellent, and the mouse build quality feels very solid. You feel like you're using a real piece of hardware, which is something some mice that cost twice as much don't get right. The scroll wheel is second only to the R.A.T. 7 mouse for awesomeness. The few cons are the software, and the lack of onboard memory. I had some trouble getting the included software to see the mouse, and it also takes 2 full computer restarts to make it happen, but once I did, the software was fine. Windows drivers actually work okay, and if you just plug it in, the dpi switcher and everything still works as advertised, so its not a huge deal. Onboard memory would also be nice so that you could take your mouse to a different computer and have all your settings saved, but again, at this price, that is hardly a deal breaker. All in all, I can fully recommend this mouse to anyone looking for something below $50 bucks. I don't think you'll be disappointed.Tip: I had to run the software as an administrator before it would see the mouse.5A great replacement for the 5000dpi Anker Gaming Mouse!I was looking to replace my Anker gaming mouse, but I noticed that the thing has practically become extinct since 2013. I was hesitant to order a $30 replacement from a brand I'd never heard of (Perixx), but so far it's working out great! I love the mold of this thing - fits my hand perfectly and I can't use any other mice now because it's just that good. No problems with the buttons at all. I actually still use the Anker at home, and the Perixx at work on a Mac. No issues on the Mac either. Just make sure you get USB Overdrive, or "Mouse Acceleration Preference Pane" to adjust your mouse sensitivity and acceleration. Thanks Perixx!5
