Customer Reviews
Worth having a nice E stringI haven't tried other good E strings so can't compare, but I'm so glad I upgraded from a basic E to this, definitely can get a better tone, and there's nothing more discouraging than sqeeky high notes on violin. Of course you still need to work on bow hold and technique for sound - a string on its own doesn't fix everything, but this makes it easier to get a nice sound!I'm a middling fiddle player, so don't buy super expensive strings but generally do buy mid price stings so that's what I'm comparing to.5Piastro has a great soundThis us a really great sounding string. I purchased a set of Tomastick infelds and the e string snapped as soon as I put it on. 40 years of restringing myself I have never had this happen. So Ibreplaced the e string with the Piastro Gold Label and it sounds great.5Help soften the squeaky violin "E" string.I have service-connected hearing damage and have avoided playing songs requiring the "E" string because of the squeaky ear-aching pitch; using this brand "E" string softens the ear-piercing sound of other brands.5Good EThis string (really just a shiney length of thin wire) has performed well. I play very few pieces that require plucking of the strings but thePirastro E has withstood all my ministrations like a champ. The string has a high tensil strength, which limits the possibility of stretching out oftune but care should be taken when mounting. Puncture wounds are a real possibility.5Excelentes cuedas para viol nDesde que utilic la marca Pirastro en mi viol n, me he mantenido fiel a esta marca de cuerdas. En realidad no soy un profesional del instrumento pero me fascina el sonido de estas cuerdas; he le do que famosos violinistas las recomiendan.5Warm and vibrant toneThere's a reason it's the Gold Standard and you see countless professionals opting for this string. It's warm and vibrant, and a must-buy!5No squeakingDoesn't squeak like Dominant E string does.5Happy!Shipping was amazing fast from Nevada to Alabama, very happy to have an E string again. Also it sounds clearer than a Thomastik Vision E string.5My Daughter says this was awesome.I don't play, but my Daughter says this was awesome. So I would recommend and buy it again. Thanks5I always hated the E String because it was high and squeakyIn school, I always hated the E String because it was high and squeaky, so I would shift to third position on the A to avoid it, but this brand changed my mind, my violin never sounded more beautiful in the higher octaves.5
