    Incredible Album: Possibly Problematic Vinyl PressingThis on CD is my favorite album that I've ever purchased. The arrangements and the performance are just fantastic. I was therefore thrilled to see this in a Barnes and Noble on vinyl.Unfortunately, one of the sides of the album was pressed off-center - the grooves were literally not centered when the record spun, so I'd get a dizzy Merry-Go-Round whooshing whenever I listened to it. Extremely disappointing. No, it definitely wasn't my equipment - I have quality, calibrated equipment, and I have collected many records that this point. Barnes and Noble's return policy was not robust enough to get me a replacement, and the record was a limited and expensive run, so I never got to try another copy.Does that mean that every copy has quality control issues? Not necessarily. But it looks like some other people have had quality control issues as well. I think you'd be better off buying this album on CD, and enjoying the utter beauty of these arrangements and performances without worrying about whether you got a defective vinyl pressing.3BEAUTIFUL album!
