    In 2003, four New Orleans friends Collins, Scott Durbin, Dave Poche and Scott Smitty Smith started gathering after their kids bedtimes to write songs and brainstorm ideas about a children s television show. Two years later, they had become the latest sensation of their musical city, attracting parents and children alike with an eclectic pop sensibility and lyrical turns about healthy snacks and playing catch and conquering childhood fears of bedtime. Lines to the Movers shows stretched down blocks. Not even the Imagination Movers could have fully imagined the band s current break-through success. Recently completing production on the third season of their hit music-and-comedy series for Playhouse Disney, the Movers have sold more than 200,000 CDs and DVDs to date.

    Best Kids CD/DVD Ever!!If I could give this CD/DVD a hundred stars I would!We took our boys to see the Imagination Movers perform live at a local theater. We all had such a great time we decided to get the Rock o Matic CD/DVD they were selling at the show. From the moment we put the CD on in the car the boys couldn't get enough of it!Then we let them watch the DVD. The boys studied every movement the movers made and completely reenacted all their favorite songs!On the ride to Preschool I would hear them singing all their favorite songs and hysterically laughing at the "Watermelon Meow Mew" and "Dance Kong Fu". It is very clear that the Imagination Movers really get kids.We just took the boys to see the Imagination Movers perform live again a few weeks ago. Once again the kids had a blast! They also got a chance to meet them! These are probably the nicest and most humble human beings you will ever meet. They literally go around and do their very best to give each child a high five during their show. Somehow they manage to make every child feel special.After the show we got their new CD/DVD "Licensed to Move" it's already a huge hit! The boys have studied it and already stared performing their favorite songs for friends and neighbors!I can't recommend anything from the Imagination Movers,including their live performances, highly enough!Rock o matic is definitely a must have along with "Licensed to Move".5Another great CDImagination Movers are fantastic. My kid (just turned 6) absolutely loves them. Actually, he doesn't really care about the TV show, he just loves the music, and I'm fine with that. I also must admit, I catch myself listening to them when he's not around, too. We saw them live about a year ago and they also put on an amazing show.But the CD...it's not their strongest one, but it's enjoyable from start to finish. Unfortunately, the only song that is an earworm is Watermelon Meow Meow, which is not what you want stuck in your head during an important meeting at the office. :)There's no Farm, or What's in the Fridge, but it's still a really good CD.4Fantastic!My kids are 2 and 3 (both boys). They are completely in love with this dvd-dancing and singing along. It is really fun watching them. The show itself is also parent friendly (not even kind of obnoxious, as long as you expect to see a little cheesy kid humor). Fun and refreshing, we just love it! The music is upbeat, there are bright colors and there is a lot of action. It is basically short skits with music videos.5Yay for non-annoying kids' music!My kids (6 and 2) love this one. The songs are catchy and good for dancing.I like that that it also comes with a dvd and that there are a lot of songs on the cd, which we keep in the car. The songs are not annoying as many kids' albums can be. My husband and I enjoy listening (and dancing on occasion) as well.We don't watch the Imagination Movers show (no cable/satellite) but we would definitely take our kids to see them live based on this cd.5Super CD!I'd heard of Imagination Movers and probably heard some of their music, as I'm a children's librarian. But, this CD is fabulous! I'll be using many of the songs in storytime. I highly recommend this for your little kiddos.5Turn up the radio now!My 4 year old loves the "younger" music the Imagination Movers sing on Disney, so when the new tour was based on this "rock" CD, we actually passed up on the tour and the CD. However, we wound up getting tickets to the show so I bought the CD to see what to expect. Honestly, at first my daughter just listened. The topics were a little more advanced and less babyish and they have more rhythm and beats to them. And at the show they only played Rock-O-Matic from the album. After a week my daughter sings every single song and has even mastered the more complicated rhythms and runs so we are very glad we gave it a try! I would say it is more appropriate for the 4-7 year old crowd.5Great Album by a Great BandThis is an absolutely fantastic album. I like to tease my kids that I "let them" listen to my Movers album and I would totally still love this album as a whole even if my kids didn't (but yay! They do!) It's solid both musically and lyrically. I hate kids music that talks down to kids and the Movers definitely do not do that!I can say in all honesty that this album lives up to an 11 car drive...it was on repeat the entire time and we all sang along! Thanks Imagination Movers for continuing to make amazing music that I'm proud to share with my kids!5Love this!We are HUGE Imagination Movers fans. Mommy and Daddy love it just as much as our kids. The new Rock O Matic cd is aweseme. Our 4 year old loves the Superstar and Gimme Strength songs the best. I personally dance it out to Dance Kung Fu! We play this cd in the house, in the car, on vacation...everywhere. We hope the Movers keep producing because we can't get enough of them.5Fantastic for the FamI don't know who was more excited to get this CD/DVD/MP3 set, my 2 1/2 son or I. Our family has loved it since we first caught it on Netflix (now removed from Instant Watch) about a year ago. So glad I decided to buy it. My ringtones were all changed to Movers music the night of purchase, and we watch this almost every night with the whole family dancing, singing and playing instruments. As they say in their "Thank you" song, it's like Mr. Roger's meets the Beastie Boys; it's not music made just for kids that would make you rather bang your head on the wall than hear it one more time.5Imagination Movers -- WOW!I bought this album for ONE song - one that will help young folks and old to move to music... Each time they say something different - like "pick up a penny" or "I got the answer" or "hot sidewalk" --- and you dance the action associated with the phrase. It's fun, and keeps you moving!I'd recommend it to teachers, senior activity directors, or anyone who just wants a great bit of music to "move" by!5
