- The soot (black smoke) from normal candles will collect over time to discolor walls, ceilings, furniture and fixtures. Not to mention that the black soot is not good for your lungs. These candles will only have a little soot from the wick when lit and extinguished. Other than this, there is no soot during burning. These polymer candles will burn slower than normal wax candles. Please handle with care and use safety precautions when handling fire, and matches. Use very hot tap water to melt wax packages. No direct heat is necessary. Supervision of children is advised.
USE DIRECTIONS (SEE PHOTO DIRECTIONS IN PHOTO GALLERY): 1. MELT WAX PACKAGES IN VERY HOT (BOILING) TAP WATER FOR 1 MINUTE OR UNTIL LIQUIDIFIED AND READY TO USE. USE CAUTION. 2. CENTER THE WICK AND HOLDER IN CANDLE CONTAINER WITH TAPE. 3. COMBINE MELTED LIQUID WAX INTO CONTAINER EVENLY. 4. ADD DECORATIONS AND ADDITIONAL MELTED WAX TO PROPER LEVEL. 5. SET ENTIRE CANDLE CONTAINER IN VERY COLD WATER BATH UNTIL WAX IS HARD AND TRIM WICK TO ABOUT 1/2 FROM TOP OF CANDLE OPENING.
