This is a Great Case! -- I Ordered 2 additional ones!I loved this case as soon as I saw it! I have the 132 prismacolor pencil set, so thought I would try one case "just to see" ... well I'm ordering two more ... so I can organize my gel pens as well! I fit 3 pencils per slot, and can fit 2 gel pens per slot. Putting the pencils in was a bit tight, but you need to put two pencils in the slot, and slide the third pencil between the 1st two ... and they slide right in. I push them out by the bottom, then put them back in as described above. So nice to see all the pencils arranged by color rather than rummaging around in the pencil tin. I have a 100 gel pen set, I'm looking forward to getting those organized as well.Update - March: I've used this case for a couple of months now, and still love it. The pencils slip in a little easier now, but it still holds them very firmly. In fact, I ordered two additional cases for my gel pens and other miscellaneous pencils. Works great for the gel pens, too. 5Better than expectedIf you read reviews before buying, you already know that the elastic loops in this brand of case are a bit controversial...and I'm not going to disagree with that assessment. Individual loops for each pencil probably would have been a better design overall. That said, the current design isn't as bad as the worst reviews would have you believe. I bought this case to hold a set of 36 Derwent Inktense pencils, and I found that 3 pencils fit quite easily into the loops. Four pencils per loop was more difficult, but not as big an issue as I expected; I did gently stretch the loops by hand before use. I was able to put the entire set into this case, and still had a loop leftover to hold a few blender pens. With just a little stretching & 4 per loop, I definitely could have fit 48 Derwent pencils into this case--and Derwents are a bit thicker than some brands. But three per loop is probably the ideal amount for ease of removal and putting away.The construction quality is very good, with quality materials and nice, even stitching. The snaps on the zipper pulls are a nice touch. At least one reviewer mentions that it's a bit thick when closed, and I'd agree with that, but overall it's a fairly compact, portable unit that feels like it will be good protection for your expensive markers or pencils. I'll be buying a second one in another color for another pencil set I have, and I recommend it to anyone who wants an organized carrier for their art tools, with the caveat that you may need to go up a size to accommodate your pencils easily. 4Perfect storage system for meThis is great storage case for colored pencils. It does hold 120 (with the capacity to hold an extra 8, for dual color or blenders). The case has storage on the inside an back covers and a sewn in panel with double-sided storage. Each storage section has ten 1 1/2" H good qualty elastic sewn in with the the width of the elastic being 1 1/8" W for the two end holders (which is where you can hold four pencils if you choose) and 7/8" W for the middle 8 holders that hold three pencils each.The case allows for 7" pencils with enough room from top to bottom to prevent breaking off pre-sharpened tips. Leather on the inside, heavy fabric on the outside with thin padding makes for sturdy construction. Has a dual zipper system for front and back storage with snap closure tabs at the end.As far as other comments about the elastic being too tight, it is, that's because this case is for storing, traveling etc., however it is not so tight that you can't use it daily. My suggestion then would be to buy an upright pencil holder with thd easiest access for those who don't like this style case. I prefer this style storage as I have a need to be organized! 5Very happyI am very happy with this, it was just as I hoped :)I knew it would be a tight squeeze to fit 3 pencils in each loop, but you can, I choose not too. 5Why are people whining?I don't know what everyone's problem is. I'm happy with it. Yes, if you jam it to the brim and get to 120, it's a tight fit. As it should be! It's not so tight that you're breaking the pencils to get them in either... You'll notice too, I have Conte Pastels in there. If you know what they are, you know they're fairly large. 5Good but could be greatI really love this pencil case but I wish it had a spot for erasers and pencil sharpener! So I made my own. If it had a pocket I would of gave it 5 stars. 4I really like this pencil case and also own the larger one ...Bought this pencil case for my Prismacolor watercolor pencils. It neatly holds the full set of 36 pencils and the 3 water brush tanks that I use. I really like this pencil case and also own the larger one for my Verithin and Premier pencils. 5The 120 pencil case is GREAT for pencils but not so great for fountain pens or art markers.I have 4 Global Art Canvas Pencil Cases now and they are all fantastic. HOWEVER it's important to note that the 120 Pencil Case has tighter (and closer together) elastic bands than the 24 or 48 pencil cases. This is no issue at all for pencils (and possibly even preferable.) The 120 case does not work well for fountain pens or markers, however. The bands are too tight to safely insert most fountain pens or art markers. You can clip them to the elastic bands (it's what I do) but it's not as good as if the bands were wider like in the 24 and 48 pencil cases.To use Global Art cases for fountain pens consider the 24 or 48 pencil case because the canvas slots are looser in those and can fit fountain pens more safely. 5Excellent cases for any type of pencilsLOVE these. Attractive, professional-looking cases with nice snap closures. Holds 2-3 pencils per elastic loop, but not so snugly that they are difficult to remove, as in other similar cases. The largest case can hold an entire set of pencils. The smaller cases are great for travel. My only wish is that they had pockets (on the outside, perhaps?) for erasers, small sharpener, etc. 5Great case! Love it! Believe the other reviews that each strap will only hold two pencils, and buy one size up accordingly.I got this case after carefully researching many others. This case does not have individual slots for each pencil. Rather, the intention is that three pencils are meant to go under each elastic strap. Many reviews said the straps were too tight to hold three pencils. I heeded the advice of others who said to be aware that each strap will only hold two pencils. I found this to be absolutely true. Especially in the instance of wider pencils. I got this case to hold Faber Castell Polychromos. They are a bit wider than some other pencils. But I bought this case knowing that, so I bought up to the larger size. I got the 120 case to hold a set of 80 pencils. I am very glad for the reviews that warned that the straps only hold two pencils. I put my 80 Faber Castell Polychromos with two in each slot, and that worked out very well. I love this case, and have extra room for blenders and other various pencils I have. I did try to put Prismacolor Col-Erase pencils in this case. (Not I high end pencil, but they work great for some things.) I found that the case was way to short to hold those, unless they had much use and had been sharpened down. The length of the Faber Castell Poloychromos is the largest length this case will accommodate. Thanks to the helpful reviews of others, I got the larger case and am very pleased with it! Great case. Quality zippers that can snap down. Nicely sewn. Not a cheapo case. Each "page" of pencils turns easily. 5
