    but that would have annoyed me tooAmazon has the unfortunate practice of lumping reviews for several different editions together. The kindle edition I got did not have the "disclaimer" that several people objected to (I'm a liberal, but that would have annoyed me too.) It just started out with the table of contents and the the familiar Preamble.5The Constitution of the United States of America: And Selected Writings of the Founding FathersI purchased the leather bound edition. It arrived in pristine condition and well packaged. It will be a nice addition to our library and looks quite handsome on our coffee table right now. Includes the Federalist Papers which I have not laid eyes on since high school as well as several other historic documents. The Constitution is in the back of the book. It has a table of contents but I did not find an index. Pleased with purchase. Good value.5MISSING the Bill of Rights!This booklet (blue, with an eagle on the front, 6" x 9", 32 pages, with the author of "Founding Fathers"), claims to include "the US Constitution, including the Bill of Rights" - but it does NOT include the Bill of Rights!The Bill of Rights adds the extremely important amendments that protect freedom of religion, speech, gun rights, etc.. I was stunned when I realized it was missing. Very disappointing!1Know your rights!Not sure why they don't teach this in schools anymore.....oh wait....yes I do. The more lack of knowledge you have, the more the corrupt government/agencies can get away with.People need to know and understand the Constitution of the United States because their rights are being violated daily and they don't even know it. The number one right being violated the most right under your nose is the fifth amendment. You have a right to remain silent. You DO NOT have to say a single word to a cop as popular belief and shows make you think. If a cop questions you for ANYTHING you have that fifth amendment right no matter how threatening a cop wants to be. You do not want to incriminate yourself for whatever reason because anything you say WILL be used against you no matter how small the chit chat or "nice" the conversation was/is.5The Book is a Bit Too large for My Use - Better for Men's PocketsI bought this book to learn the entire text which was not taught in the early 60s. I recently saw the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution read aloud, which was quite interesting. It was dated 2017, with original source HBO, and held my interest. It was read by CNN hosts, all past presidents, vice presidents and Secretaries of State.4The book for We the PeopleEvery American should own (and Read) this book. It was written for Us! Very highly recommend.5This is important to know and review! And it is a very reasonable price!When that former immigrant was addressing Congress, I thought his pocket-sized copy of the Constitution was an excellent audio-visual aid. (It also fits in most purses.) Illinois requires that students pass a test on it before graduating, and most do that after middle or junior high school. It did not occur to me that that was not the case elsewhere, but made me feel very proud when that man was speaking. We had indeed read it and passed a test on it. Maybe that is the source of my surprise when new Presidents do not know what is in it and the amendments, and the Declaration of Independence.5Parental Warning!I purchased this version of the Constitution several years back from Amazon, it is the ISBN 1-60459-268-0 version. They seem to have correctly printed the documents and it is a quality binding, it's holding up well. HOWEVER! On the page listing the publisher and ISBN # is a Disclaimer/Parental Advisory about the book! I couldn't believe that a publisher would be so anal and PC as to warn people about letting their children look at it before explaining to them the problems with the document...GOOD GRIEF! Anyone old enough to be able to read this work is also old enough to realize that it is a 242 year old work. Simply put, this document is a masterpiece that does not need to be "leftistsplained" before it is read. I give it five stars for content...but one star for the thoughtless, inane commentary.1This is the version to get - don't be mislead by the comments (BUT see update)This version is annotated by Richard Beeman, a genuine, non-ideological constitutional scholar. It is NOT the right wing/Skousen/LDS version described in many of the critical comments. For some reason, Amazon has applied the same set of comments to multiple versions of the Constitution, which makes it virtually impossible to determine which ones are worth buying - and reading.This version is well worth buying and reading, and reading again. In addition to the text of the original documents, it offers excellent historical context including a discussion of how the various articles and amendments have been interpreted by courts (not ideologues) through the years. It's a very valuable resource.UPDATE: In a comment to this review, RedRocks explains that if you try to order the paperback version of this Penguin guide, you'll actually get the Skousen/LDS version instead. (My brother confirmed this.) Kindle orders get the correct Penguin version. Amazon needs to correct this - RedRocks has complained about it before but Amazon has done nothing.5SO SMALL! Not really a book!This can t even be considered a book! It is so small , pocket size is the only way to describe it! I wanted a BOOK!1
