    Hand basting thread for coutureYLI Silk #100 thread is one of the best threads for doing haute couture sewing. It's perfect for hand basting seams together and then directly sewing over the baste stitch. Because this thread is silk and has a low twist, it is smooth and easy to hand sew with, and when sewn over with a machine it is very easy to take out with a seam ripper. It also comes in a variety of colors so that you can choose a contrasting one for visibility. Overall a wonderful thread, and am very glad that it is sold on Amazon.5for the first aid kitsilk thread for the first aid kit. used twice so far. the color kinda clashes with an open wound, but it mostly works, nobody turned into a zombie. Nothing sewn back on fell off.5Beautiful, super-fine slk thread.Super fine thread purchased for hand-casting seam edges. As fine as it is, it can be difficult to see without excellent lighting, and difficult to handle, but that is a factor of the fineness, and not a reflection of the quality of the product.5Good for QuiltingMy wife likes this for quilting. The order came late, but the thread was fine. The picture does not look like white thread, but the thread was white, as it was supposed to be. I repair quilts that are between 200 and 50 years old. The fabrics, especially silk, are often torn or even disintegrating. This thread allows me to repair an old quilt so much easier because the silk just slithers through the damaged threads and buries itself snugly between them. Tangles far less than cotton sewing thread and when it does tangle it is easier to untangle.5
